It's always better to have protein through diet as much as possible...
Consume plant based proteins which are good and have high biological value like whole lentils legumes, sprouts,milk and milk products, nuts, seeds, dry fruits varieties, if non veg take sea fish, chicken soups, lean meats as animal based protein..etc..

1) the source off protein whey, soya,casino,hemp ,pea or egg.
2) the vegetarian protein should come from the grass fed cows.
3) the amount off protein per scoop.
4)the source off carbohydrates synthetic or non synthetic.
5) micronutrients in the supplement.
6) fat percentage off the supplement.
7) the source off sugars should me natural ,Stevia is the best sweetner used as sweetener.
8) the processing should be done on the low temperature.
