What ill-effects can be caused if I take excessive protein in my regular diet plan and what should be the maximum  protein consumption?

Well, the most immediate side effect of excessive protein consumption is dehydration along with weight gain, constipation / diarrhoea or bad breathe. Long term side effect is usually on your kidneys and there are some other effects but those depend on your current health status ( i.e existing health concerns)

First check your height in centimetres. Subtract that with 100 and the answer is your ideal body weight. E.g if someone’s height is 163 cm then 163-100= 63 which is the ideal body weight Protein requirement for a sedentary adult is calculated as 0.8 multiplied by ideal body weight E.g 0.8* 63 = 50.4gms daily protein intake
