Hey, For anything we do, we need right sort and amount of motivation to carry it out. Motivation usually comes in 3 ways. Firstly it comes when we do something we thoroughly enjoy. For ex: If you like cricket, you would automatically watch the match. Second motivation is when doing the work gives us what we want immediately or in near future. What we want here could be money, attention, appreciation, sense of contribution, power, status, security etc. Third is when you have a deadline/expectation from someone you are answerable to like a friend, boss, spouse, children, customer or parents. You would be procrastinating in doing things which do not belong to any of these categories. Additionally you would further postpone things if you do not believe in your capacity to do it well. The postponing again would bring it to last minute, reducing the quality of work. It is a negative loop which reduces your confidence level, self-esteem, motivation to work and enhances your procrastination & stress. Firstly you are stressed by not having enough engagement and later in the last moment by lot of work pressure. This position is indeed hard to be in & can disturb your peace of mind even with as small a trigger as little sound. Solution is to bring yourself out from this position this very moment and start taking small initiatives by yourself. Start with a physical routine like exercise/jogging/playing/working out. Put in efforts to make few friends who get to know the lovely person you are. Whenever you start with a work, set a deadline and reward yourself for completing it. You would find your motivation level rising and stress waning off. Take Care and take control of your life.
