How many days back did you have delivery?
It takes quite some time before the periods become regular. If you are breast feeding the baby it may take upto one year.
So you have to use some effective contraception. Otherwise you will become pregnant and will not even know about it.

In case you are Breastfeeding the cycles could be irregular.
