Irregular periods after delivery 1 year
Hi..it's been one year since my first delivery..only on 12th month (after delivery) I got my first period... very light bleeding..now it's second month (13th month after delivery) and I didn't get my periods... Last month on 16th April I got my first period..n today is 21st May, I'm up 5 days..n no periods sign..also felt lil cramps on 17th May... nothing else...do I ve to get my self checked for anything..I'm feed my baby just once a day n once a night... almost at weaning stage..also I'm not pregnant, I checked it yesterday only.. Pls advice..

Hi,    If no periods in May , then do a pregnancy test, . If it is negative  then wait for a week , give hormone withdrawal for periods. It is Lactational Amenorrhoea.

Hi... This happens with some people after delivery. You don't need to worry much.. slowly your menses will get regular. Wait for sometime. Or if you want contraception along with it. You can contact directly for any clarification.

No ovulation results in delay of menses If pregnancy test is negative then u need tablets for withdrawal Once u r down with ur next menses , start using contraceptive method so that u don’t have to be worried

Please check and make sure that pregnancy is not the reason for the irregularities.as ovulation resumes earlier than the menstruation

If pregnancy test is negative , just wait of periods for a week....if still no periods contact personally for pills for withdrawal periods...This is lactation induced amenorrhea.
Next Steps
start using contraceptives if U do not want pregnancy from next cycle.
