Problem related to my dog
Hello I have chow chow breed male dog .he is 7 months old. Today he ate whole block of butter(100g) with rapper on it. Will he be fine or I should worry??

Whole block of butter can cause inflammation in stomach and intestines. Wrapper can cause block if it is not passing the GI tract. Kindly visit the nearby hospital for further clinical examination and treatment

Hi,
Eating butter may cause a temporary stomach upset but if symptoms(stomach upset-vomiting/diarrhea) persist, visit your veterinarian. In chow chow conditions like pancreatitis are rare but require attention if any symptom noted.

He may develop gastritis and may remove toxic substance by vomiting. For time being you give iv injections of antacids and fluid therapy depending on the extent of dehydration and vomition.

Monitor closely for vomiting, diarrhea, bloating, lethargy, or signs of discomfort.Check stool output – If the paper doesn’t come out within 24-48 hours or if the puppy strains to defecate, contact a vet.Feed a bland diet (like boiled chicken and rice) for the next meal to ease digestion
