Problem in the upper left gum
Upper wisdom tooth was extracted about 10 years before. There has been a light foul smell for the 6 months. My dentist administered a course of few tablets for a week. However, it gave only temporary relief and the problem has once again surfaced.

Hello, it might be due to decay/cavity, bone loss surrounding teeth or Tarter deposit In that regio. 10 year old extraction area won't create any such problems.
Better to get an x-ray do e followed by the treatment of the cause.

Consult your Dentist again and do warm salie rinse 3 times a day for a week.
