Pressure & stress in head
I seem to have developed recurring issue in my head. From past 1 month as soon as I wake up in the morning , slowly a sort of pressure or tightness starts to build inside my head, (seems more on back of head), slight sense of constant nausea & uncomfortable feeling. This tends to go away if I don't think about this and spend time with group of people, but it's getting impossible to not think about this tension in head. It's more bothering if someone disturbs during sleep/ or have bad dreams. Some time it's too high and intolerable type of pressure inside head followed by slight numbness. Feels like my head is going to blast. It's a different feeling from headache which I never used to have earlier. I also feel weakness in hands and fingers, this also tends to increase when I think about it. I am 30 years old, height 6ft and weight 75kg. I did all blood and urine test and is normal, mri scan normal except some minor issue at c spline C5 & C6,( neurologist said is fine). THANKS a lot.

From your description is tension headache seems the likely diagnosis but please consult a psychiatrist in person/online as a lot of questions need to be asked to rule out other conditions before starting treatment.

Since you're 30, and since your blood and urine analyses are normal, having an additional round of routine medical checkup (Vitamins, thyroid etc) is recommended. If the thyroid and vitamin levels are normal, it could be stress-related. Check in with a mental health care professional or take steps to ensure you're not taxing your mind and amp up your self-care regimen.

This is a typical tension headache which arises due to underlying depression or anxiety issue. Many a times a person may not feel stress consciously but that may present in subconscious mind. Don't worry it can be treated easily with proper counseling and medication. Please discuss your issue in detail with a psychiatrist for detail evaluation so that the root cause can be identified and accordingly treatment can be suggested. All the best
