In early pregnancy, doctors generally expect beta hCG to roughly double every 48 to 72 hours, though the pace naturally slows as the level climbs. Your rise from 1059 to 1549 is on the slower side of that typical pattern, which is exactly why your doctor planned a repeat test rather than judging from one number alone.
Next Steps
Keep the repeat test your doctor has planned, and expect an ultrasound to be scheduled once the level is high enough to see a pregnancy sac on scan.
Health Tips
Please call your doctor sooner if you notice heavy bleeding or one-sided pelvic pain before your next test.
