Asked for Female, 30 Years

My periods are absolutely regular. Reports are normal. After proper ovulation study and follicle rupture on day 20th, 2 eggs were seen and kept relations alternate days that week. I thought I was pregnant as my periods were 6 days late. But today, I got my period so what might be the reason for late period and no conception? I am confused. (AGAIN my periods have been regular)
