Prediabetic
Recently I got my blood test done and came out as prediabetic, I just want to ask if I have to check my fasting sugar should I check it before passing poop or after, as when I checked before using the wash room it was more as compared to right after passing the stool...kindly clarify.

Passing stools does not effect your sugar levels. If you check before food that is your fasting blood sugar and if you check after food (which should be 2 hours after food) it is post prandial blood sugar. If you are in oregano diabetic range. You need to make lifestyle and dietary modifications. 30mins walk morning and evening . You can still control it by immediately making changes, but if you are lax it will go into diabetes range sooner .

The criteria for testing the fasting glucose level is  fasting for at least 8 hours before the test. This test is usually done first thing in the morning, before there's no relation between the glucose levels and timing of passing stool.
