Your fasting (93) and PPBS (130) are within normal range. HbA1c of 6.0 falls in the prediabetes range, but since you have iron deficiency, folate deficiency and low haemoglobin (11.1), HbA1c can be falsely elevated. Fructosamine (215) is also within normal limits, which supports overall acceptable recent sugar control. At present this does not clearly suggest diabetes. Correct the nutritional deficiencies and repeat HbA1c after 2–3 months.
Next Steps
Consult for treatment of iron and folate deficiency, maintain healthy diet and regular exercise, and repeat HbA1c/CBC after correction of anaemia.
Health Tips
Avoid excessive sugary foods, maintain ideal weight, and monitor blood sugar periodically, especially if there is family history of diabetes.
