PP should be taken 2 hours after regular breakfast or regular lunch(ideal). In some people, the post breakfast readings are slightly higher than the ones after lunch and may require minor dose or diet changes. 75gm GTT is not required at this stage. Another blood test called as Hba1c is essential to know about the overall blood sugar control over 3 months. Bp medicines are not changed on the basis of a single reading and sometimes a higher dose is required for reasons other than bp. eg. Kidney protection.
