If i want to get a fasting BS test done at home using a glucometer, should i take metformin the previous night? Also, after breakfast, should i take my diabetic medication before taking the PP test?

Ideally all the medicines as per schedule are to be taken regularly.. Only fasting should be done without medicines.. Previous night medicine works on fasting.. That is the principle behind it. Now once fasting blood is given for testing, take your medicine as per schedule... If taking before breakfast, take before... If taking after breakfast, take after.... Then two hours after breakfast give blood for checking...
