PPH and pregnancy
I had a mild pph history during my 1st Caesarian delivery. I had hypothyroidism and gestational diabetes during 1st one. Can I plan for a second baby? The associated risks for second pregnancy could be fatal? Please suggest with your valuable opinion

Yes you can plan for pregnancy Get GCT , THYROID PROFILE and basic investigations prior to conceiving Start taking tablet folic acid. Ideally your thyroid and blood profile should be controlled prior to pregnancy

Firstly- make sure there is a gap of 2- 3 years between first and second delivery. It helps your body to cope up well from last delivery. Later - plan for pregnancy after making sure all your blood parameter are normal such as rbs, hb and thyroid profile . If the above parameters r normal.. there are less chance of risks in your case. If you are planning pregnancy there are certain drugs to be avoided which cause harm to baby . Consult a gynecologist and discuss .

You definitely can plan a second pregnancy Make sure your TSH levels less than 2.5 preconceptionally Hba1cis less than 6.5 The risks can be well managed by giving an injection following delivery of the baby to prevent pph
