Balanced diet with home mafe food only, lessen milk intake. If diet modification doesnt help can start lactulose syrup 5ml tsice daily. But dont give medications for long . Also make him sit in the potty everyday at tge same time, check if has any fissures pain might be reason he doesnot want to sit in potty.

Passing stools daily is NOT mandatory,as long as motions are soft and formed. If very hard, change dietary habits. Give just 2 top milk feeds using a glass, stop bottle feeding and breastfeeding if given and give 4 solid meals a day including high fiber items in the diet, such as cornflakes, salads,Dalia, green leafy vegetables and fruits like mango, pears, apples and oranges.
