Post hemorrhage anxiety and depression
Hi All, My mother recently suffered from a brain hemorrhage due to high blood pressure. It's been 3 months and her physiotherapy treatment is completed. She has recovered almost 90% but still has some trouble speaking. Lately around a month ago she started having depressing thoughts like she is gonna die or she is going to kill herself l. Earlier it started with her crying. She used to cry anytime. she still crys while talking about any kind of issue. What kind of help can i get for her. And what can I do for her so that she feels better. Thanks in advance for helping me out.

Good evening, You have not mentioned your mother's age. It would help to know where the bleed was. From the details you have mentioned I'd look for the left side of the brain, because the speech area is there, also left sided brain is responsible for the depressive cognition. Its what we call organic depression. You need to see a psychiatrist who can a) start the necessary medication b) teach you how to manage these symptoms c) help you watch for any warning signs. Your mother might need lot of attention like a baby right now. Hope your mother feels better. I hope this helps.
Next Steps
contact a Psychiatrist who would start a medicine.
Health Tips
watch out for impulsive decisions or acts when she is alone.
