A prolactin level of 148-164 is elevated but not alarmingly high, and there are many causes apart from a tumor — including PCOS itself, stress, medications, and hypothyroidism. A pituitary tumor (prolactinoma), if present, is almost always benign and very treatable. Please do not panic, as this is a manageable condition.
Next Steps
Get an MRI of the pituitary and a thyroid profile done as advised by your doctor. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.

✓A prolactin level of 148–164 does not automatically mean a brain tumor. ✓Most causes of elevated prolactin are treatable, and even prolactinomas are usually benign. ✓proper endocrine evaluation and MRI needed to be done  if advised..
Next Steps
✓hypothyroidism and pcos needs to be rule out
