Hi Doctor,
As per my latest lab report prolactin content is 27.9ng/ml. Currently I am planning for pregnancy with 5 years of marriage completion.
I am under gynoveda ayurvedic treatment.
Could you please suggest on how to bring my prolactin level to normal range?
Attached the lab report.
Thanks & Regards,
Sneha

Hi Sneha
Normal range for women (non-pregnant): <25 ng/mL
Your level is slightly elevated, which is common and often not alarming, especially if:
You're not having symptoms like irregular periods, galactorrhea (milk discharge), or infertility
The test wasn't done under strict conditions (fasting, no stress, no nipple stimulation)
Next Steps
Possible Causes
Stress or poor sleep before the test
PCOS (common in fertility issues)
Thyroid dysfunction (rule out hypothyroidism)
Certain medications (e.g., antidepressants, antacids)
