Placenta maturing early at 34 weeks
Hi Dr., My growth scan report of 27 weeks showed Placenta grade 1 but at 34 weeks it shows placenta grade 3 already. Doppler parameters ok and baby measurements corresponding to gestational age. Please can you advice what can I do to take care of this problem? Is it something in my diet causing early placenta grade 3 as I don't have BP or diabetes issues? My next routine appointment with OB is only at 36 weeks. I am tracking movements as adviced.

There is no problem. Placenta maturity assessment is highly subjective. It has been given as Gd 3 maturity at 34 weeks. It will be Gd 3 maturity even at 39 weeks.  So, no fears.

If Doppler is normal then it’s fine , get a BPP done at 36 weeks along with Doppler
