Doctor, for the last few weeks I am having a pin-prick or needle-like sensation on my scalp, both sides of my face, neck, upper chest and back.
It feels like tingling, itching or crawling under the skin, sometimes more at night.
I was treated for scabies, and itching has reduced, but the pin-prick sensation is still there.
My blood tests show
Vitamin B12 level around 207, which I was told is borderline low.
My
sugar and
CRP are normal, and
thyroid TSH is slightly high.
I don’t have weakness, fever, or numbness, but this sensation is disturbing.
I want to know if this is due to Vitamin B12 deficiency or nerve irritation, and whether I should take B12 tablets or injections.”*
