Pin-prick or needle-like sensation
Doctor, for the last few weeks I am having a pin-prick or needle-like sensation on my scalp, both sides of my face, neck, upper chest and back. It feels like tingling, itching or crawling under the skin, sometimes more at night. I was treated for scabies, and itching has reduced, but the pin-prick sensation is still there. My blood tests show Vitamin B12 level around 207, which I was told is borderline low. My sugar and CRP are normal, and thyroid TSH is slightly high. I don’t have weakness, fever, or numbness, but this sensation is disturbing. I want to know if this is due to Vitamin B12 deficiency or nerve irritation, and whether I should take B12 tablets or injections.”* B12 level - 208

Thank you for the pic of the lab tests done. For a more detailed explanation, more detailed history on different aspects : medical, personal, family etc are required together with some clear close up pics. Don't worry...it does appear that it could be some sort of hypersensitivity reaction post the scabies treatment that can be easily sorted. Stress issues often present in this way too. Doesn't appear to be any need for injections Reason for B12 deficiency needs to be ascertained before such steps are taken. Consider Consulting Online or drop into the clinic if in Bangalore. An INSTANT ONLINE Consultation may be  an useful alternative 🙏
