Usually surgery is advised in Pilonidal sinus problem. But it is not a good choice for the reason of recurrence of problem after surgery. In about 20-25 % cases Pilonidal sinus recurs after surgery. Pilonidal cyst arise as an acquired lesion wherein hairs, trapped in folded areas of tissue, forcibly penetrate the skin and create a foreign body inflammatory reaction.
