Pilonidal sinus
I have pilonidal sinus. I am a student prrparing for college. should i go for laser surgery? Is laser more costly? How much can it cost?

Pilonidal sinus should be done by minimally invasive surgery, which is LASER or Endoscopic. Let the surgeon decide. Go to the surgeon who does both ways, endoscopic and laser or open go get the right opinion about your pilonidal sinus.
Next Steps
Open surgery entrails large wound  longer time in bed. Long periods of dressingrecurrences higher with more morbidity. Wide excision are no more done Wound usually not left open.

The commonly done Open surgery for Pilonidal sinus are: 1) Surgery to remove sinus and wound left open and 2) Surgery to remove sinus and wound closed. Endoscopic ablation of a pilonidal sinus is also an option. But you need to find out the hospitals doing this procedure. Cost depends on the hospital where you get your surgery.
