Pilonidal sinus post recovery
Hi I went through limberg flap surgery But I got stiches inside buttock cleft and stiches end is 1.5cm above anal so I got a scar at the end and it's an hypertrophic scar confirmed by my doctor But it's been 4 months after my surgery I feel itching and discomfort so how can I get rid of it and is it expected in every case

It is common to have keloid in people with tendency of scarring keloid It is better to consult a general surgeon who can help you in this with intrapersonal triamcinolone preferably and better support

Don't worry Hypertrophic scar is common in dark skinned individuals ,due to various reasons and is not something to be scared It's due to excess deposited skin healing tissue..in your words excess bricks for enough wall

Consult General surgeon.. Upon increasing this to keloid..next phase intrapersonal steroids are advised.. excision may be done if discomfort is more and increased size and thickness

Do not scratch with nails or put unsterile things over the lesion.. Use local emollient like calosoft lotion for local itching sensation..however actual cause to be treated for permanent clearance of problem

It is expected during healing. You can get intra lesional steroid for hypertrophic scar if needed
