Advice me on recovery days for pilonidal sinus surgery. Can I start working from how many days after surgery.

After the surgery, healing will vary depending on the type of surgery. In open healing type, it would take over 6 weeks for complete healing. In primary closure and flap method, 2 to 3 weeks. In minimal invasive laser method, heaing within 1 week to 10 days. In case you have to be seated for long period, these time period will apply. However if it is not a sedantary job, you can return to work much earlier. Pease continue with wound care as adviced.

It depend on type of surgery it’s just excision and left open or excision and flap (limberg /karydakis)
If left open then takes 2-3 week to heal (depend on amount of tissue excised) ,If flap you can start working after 1 week to 10 days

Hello sir,
Walking has to be started early, even with the drain in situ. Return to work depends on the nature of work; if it involves prolonged sitting then it has to be avoided till suture removal, which is approximately 2 weeks. And then a coccyx cut out cushion can be used to sit, as it avoids pressure over the wound.
