Pergoveries treatment in IVF
Hi doctors , we started IVF treatment yesterday and doctor has prescribed Pergoveries 300 IU for 3 days . Why is pergoveries indicated for? My LH and FSH are in normal range and when I read the label of pergoveries it is said to be used in severe LH and FSH deficiency patients . So I'm confused as to why is it given . My AFC done on day 1 showed 6 follicles . Could someone help me as to why is pergoveries given despite normal LH and FSH values?

When you go for IVF, external hormones are given for  stimulation and growth of many eggs unlike single egg in natural cycles. And it's not possible to explain action of each and every drug they give to you. Adequate counseling which is needed is done prior to and during the process.
