This could be hypopigmentation following a previous rash or a congenital birthmark that has become more noticeable after the tonsure.
For now, continue using the same shampoo or scalp wash that you have been using. Observe the patch over the next few weeks. If you notice hair loss, broken hair strands, scaling, redness, or an increase in the size of the patch, consult your paediatrician for a direct examination.
