I would suggest switch to Asanaeladi taila apply on head.... Make it a practice than any tablets... No harm in medha vati... But dependency on medicine from young age not advisable.
There is no need to worry about habit forming, you can take medha vati. Action of medha vati is to boost nervous system.
But if you have to work infront of computers as profession, you should consult ayurvedic doctor in detail and start some diet and home therapies which can help you improve your dry eyes and nervous system.
There are many things you can do to enhance health of nervous system and sensory organs like eyes, but you need to get evaluated and get advice which best suits your condition.
