Hi there I understand your concern... Clinical examination and MRI findings are very important in deciding treatment options...conservative management can be tried in partial tear patients...try hamstring strengthening exercises and take over the counter pain medications...avoid squatting, crossed legged sitting, playing strenuous sports or activities...if no improvements you should get examined by arthroscopic surgeon they will help you further.

ACL is an important ligament which provides stability to your knee joint. So MRI and examination provides a key your further plan of management. Providing rest and support to the injured knee is the conservative method. Now a days we are doing PRP injections in case where are no stability and buckling issues are involved but severe cases do warrant arthroscopic repair. In all of the above scenarios there will be a gradual rehabilitation towards normal daily activities.
