Paracetamol infusion
I am 32 year old lactating mother. I had throat infection with mild fever and body pain. I had gone to nearest hospital and they gave paracetamol infusion to me (around 9pm) and prescribed maliden 600 and cefixime 200 with pan 40 tablets for 3 days. As soon as I got home I had milk and took the tablets.. Will it cause any paracetamol overdose ? I felt very cold and body pain throughout the night, mild nausea. But from morning I feel okay and keeps taking medicine. Can I take maliden 600 after paracetamol infusion ?

You will not have an overdose of Paracetamol.  You should take the next dose of paracetamol only if you have body  pain or fever.

It's fine an infusion can contain between 900 to 1000 mg of acetaminophen which is usually prescribed in case of substantial fever body ache or headache.

You can use it in addition to paracetamol infusion ,as  they do not exceed the daily dose limit  as per your bodyweight.Dont be concerned about the overdose

Hi dear I don't know where u went but u have been over treated there is no need to get a paracetamol infusion for mild fever and also cefixime is not required. Please consult and give all details so I can guide u with further management. Mild cold and fever just need symptomatic treatment and nothing major. Also u are lactating so it's better to give medicines properly. Take care

Patient's detailed medical history is required. It is recommended to consult a doctor professional through the Practo app or visit a local medical facility for a thorough evaluation. Please keep in mind that detailed medical history is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment.
