I am diabetic and I walk regularly, now I feel acute pain in right toe alone, what could be the reason, last time when I had the same issue doctor said it might be due to calcium deposit, what's the best medicine for this pain

If its arround the joint, it Could be gout get serum.uric acid done..also other routine blood investigations...is there any swelling and redness ?
