Your mother is having peri arthritis Shoulder This is a complication of diabetes This cannot be cured by Surgery or Drugs, but only by Proper Control of Blood Sugar and Physiotherapy Your doctor needs to be appreciated as he has send you to proper treatment without wasting time Generally, Walking for Minimum 45 minutes a day + Strict Diet Control can reduce your blood sugar If you can share your (a) Fasting Glucose (b) Post Prandial Glucose (c) HbA1c (d) Blood Urea (e) Serum Creatinine (f) Lipid Profile reports I can tailor make the prescription (exercise Schedule + Drugs + Diet Chart) for you Also Mention your (a) Age (b) Weight (c) Height (d) Whether you take Non Vegetarian Food.

Hello, I went through your query, your doctor might have examined her, and doesn't found anything in particular for shoulder pain to take medicines regularly. Probably because of diabetic neuropathy(probably multivitamins are given) , in some cases of chronic pain all she needs is physiotherapy and proper rest, kindly follow your doctors advice. Still if you are not satisfied, consider taking 2nd opinion.
