Pain in lower left back
Hello, I have pain in my lower left back since a few days. It increases when I stand for too long or when I bend. Could it be due to bad posture? What treatment should I go for?

Standing Pain is due to fatigue of the weakening back muscles due to prolonged duration of standing and pain while bending is due to pulling or stretching of the fatigued stiff muscles.
Next Steps
balance your standing posture, avoid being in one position for long and do appropriate stretching exercises.

Dear mam, Low back pain is an epidemic. Nearly everyone at some point of time suffers from it and you you absolutely right it is due to bad posture. Add years of bad posture and wrong sitting and you get a slip disc. You may get temporary releif by taking some medications and rest but that's not the long term solution. In long run you need to improve your posture get right suggestion and what to do and what not to do. I have patients coming suffering with back pain and neck pain from more than 2 years. Practically they have learnt how to live in pain. After they come to me I give very practical suggestions and small tips with short term medication and may be few sessions of physiotherapy. In a month time they are completely pain free and later also they develop pain very infrequently. Please don't go for shortcuts that's my only advise.
