Hi, this is Dr Hitin Mathur, Senior Orthopaedics Surgeon at Fortis C Doc Hospital, New Delhi. Pain all along your left side could be due to nerve compression in the spine or due to any kind of arthritis like gout or rheumatoid arthritis. I will have to examine you clinically to find the cause and get appropriate investigations for the same.

Your symptoms are suggestive of a degenerative disease but to find the exact cause you'll need further investigations such as RA factor, MRI, etc. to find the underlying cause and have it treated accordingly. I would advise you to meet an orthopedician or a neurologist so that you can be examined physically. You will require painkillers, topical painkiller gel. You should try to improve your posture while lying down, sitting, walking, etc. If the problems persists or worsens visit the ER at the earliest.
