Is there any pain on touching the calf muscles? Whether her occupation entails standing up for a long time, is she being given any medications?Does she feel any pain on her back or radiating down her leg? Whether any pain along the front of the leg? Is she a diabetic or is there any history of kidney disease?
Next Steps
Try elevating your leg at or above the level of your heart to get swelling to decrease. Applying an ice pack in 20-minute intervals may also help. Also she can take ibuprofen or naproxen to relieve the pain. These medicines aren't supposed to be taken if she has a kidney disease or is a hypertensive. leg stretching might also help alleviate the pain a little
