Pain after filling
Doctor After filling is done iam getting pain while drinking water and while eating food... It's already 3 days over after tooth filling... Plzz can u tell why it's happening

HELLO SIR...
After composite filling it is normal to have sensitivity for 3 o 5 days which will subside afterwards....sometimes pain may be due to high points in the restoration that needs to be reduced....GET an X-RAY (IOPA) of that invoved tooth to check for any pulpal involvement....if it is there then you need to go for root canal treatment.â¦.

Hi , visit ur dentist n get an xray done ,
If it's a minor high point reduction ur problem can be solved.
With the help of the xray , we can come to knw , if rct is required or not .

Please differentiate between pain and senstivity. If it is sensitivity it will subside in a couple of days since the filling that is done for the cavity is new. If it is pain, you can confirm by drinking lukewarm water. If it hurts then you need to check with the dentist if the filling is too deep. If the pain is on biting and subsides once you open your mouth. The filling might have fractured or there might be an open contact or a high point. Either ways please visit tour dentist

Pain after filling could primarily be because of a high filling.
Visit a dentist and get it checked.
Reducing the highpoint should solve your problem.
If the condition persists then an xray should be taken to see the depth of cavity. If the cavity is involving the pulp....then a RCT will be required

If there is composite filling than some sensitivity is normal which should settle down in few days. But if the cavity was too deep and the pain does not subsides in few more days than see the dentist again and get an X-ray.

Apply desensitising toothpaste like Sensodyne or Colagte sensitivity. See dentist after 2-3 days if still sensitive
