Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) stage idetify
How can identify osteosarcome stage and what are the yreatment required for that. My cousin have bone cancer l. he is only 16 year old.

To identify stage, your pt must get whole body scan done.. Either PET CT or bone scan and Chest CT. Additionally, local site also needs to be image using MRI... Once all these is done, exact stage can be determined.. Ideally for all Osteosarcoma, chemotherapy is required initially followed by surgery

Osteosarcoma is a common cancer in this age group.. He needs a comprehensive treatment which will include- Chemotherapy and limb preservation surgery +/- radiation therapy.. X rays, local MRI scan and bone scan may be needed as required after initial assessment..
