Hello
Recurrance of any tumor depends on the nature of the tumor. If the surgery has been done I am sure a biopsy of the tumor mass must have also been done. You must access the report and be aware of the type of tumor that it was as it is now an important piece of your medical history.
You must stay in constant touch with your surgeon and explore various ways of post cancer rehabilitation in consult with a Maxillofacial Prosthodontist

Hi a benign tumour means that it's not cancerous so nothing to worry about it.
Swelling must have occurred because of the tumour so once the lesion is removed it will take some time for the swelling to come down.
The recurrence , that is the coming back of these lesions is less.
If it has been removed completely then it will definitely not recur.
Please go for constant followups.
You should be fine.
