The uterus is only one. So it doesn't make a difference whether it is on left side or right side. I have never diagnosed whether the ovum got implanted on the right side or left side. I hope your Doctor has mentioned the side of the uterus on which embryo is implanted.
Yes, if you get an ectopic pregnancy it will be on the side on which ovulation has occurred (though there also there can be some exceptions).
