Hi Doctor , I had with an accident dated 13/09/2018. My Left Tibia & Fibula bone got broke and i had with a surgery in which a metallic rod got fixed into my leg for support.
As it was an open wound case , my skin also got damaged nearby injured areas. So i again had a flap surgery for the skin part.
Till today , its around 11 weeks since i had with my bone surgery. Am able to walk but with support of Walker/crutcher.
My concern is am still feeling pain inside exactly where the wound was there , where the bone got broke.
Questions :
1. For how long this pain will last ?
2. For how many weeks i have to take rest ?
3. After how many weeks i can move independently without walker/crutcher ?
Waiting for your response.
Thanks.

There should be no pain after so many days of surgery. Find out a cause for it. It could be infection.
You should do non weight bearing knee exercises.
You must keep active & move around with the help of crutches or a metal walker.

Healing of leg bones take 3-5 months and healing takes longer in open fractures.
Mild pain is normal in healing phase and slowly goes away as fracture unites.
Your main goal should be to regain movements in knee and ankle by exercises.
Walking with some support is required till bone heals to a strength where it can bear your weight without deforming at fracture site and putting undue stress on the implant in situ.
Share your X-ray to know the radiological healing.
