Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold). Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hello there,,,,well you need to undergo specific rehabilation protocol for tibial fracture from a trained musculoskeletal physio....dont worry much about callus formation it will happen eventually,,,however strengthning the muscles of the hip and lower limb needs to be paid attention as they will help in weight bearing,,,if possible you can try partial weight bearing with the help of walker however it needs to be demonstrated properly to you.
Next Steps
sitting for prolonged periods of time on cot with legs hanging...then try n touch your affected legs feet to ground,,in sitting position try n put some preassure on feet as n how is tolerated by you.(in sitting position)
Health Tips
Ask your doctor for any suppliments regarding accelerating bone unions ( no proven results however) along with calcium.

It's a bad fracture with lot of comminution. Such fractures esp in tibia cause problems in union. Weight bearing should be delayed rather than early. Gradual increase of weight bearing like toe touch to begin with then 25% then 50% and so on. Ask your surgeon about the role of terriparatides if he feels the union is slow. PRP injection at fracture site can also be considered though not 100% proven.

Callus formation in that area will take 3 months, you can start walking after 2 weeks on patella tendon bearing knee splint and Walker to start with followed by Walking stick , walking helps to induce callus and union in such fractures. But would advice to have close follow up with your doctor as Fibula is also fractured .
Next Steps
Follow up with your doctor after 10 days of walking
Health Tips
close follow up
