On intrusive thoughts
Sir iam a medical student, once I was studying my subject I got the word suicide in brain I got worried from then on wards I have fear. From then onwards In my mind the same thought runs. Don't know why. Last year from our class a girl committed suicide but she survived. When ever I get the word suicide I remember the incident I get fear. But no one in our class fears. I get anxious and worried. I want to overcome this. Please help.

By your describe I understand that you are having the thought unwillingly and they just flash whenever you are stressed out. I also understand that you might have had anger issue in past which got suppressed due to external environment.  Start with identifying the stressor and also don't wait to finish your work till deadline. Try to work on not procrastining. Also if possible seek counselling to develope healthy coping mechanisms. Life is not going to get easy or might as well build effective problem solving skills which doesn't stress you. In case you want to please contact me. All the best !!!

Suicidal thoughts may arise in people who feel completely hopeless or believe they can no longer cope with their life situation. Suicidal ideation can vary greatly from fleeting thoughts to preoccupation to detailed planning. Most people with suicidal ideation do not carry out an actual attempt, but some do. Your case is different. There is a condition called Medical Students Syndrome. Medical students' disease (also known as second year syndrome or intern's syndrome) is a condition frequently reported inmedical students, who perceive themselves to be experiencing the symptoms of a disease that they are studying.
