On 2 meds. Should I taper one down?
I am on 2 atypical antipsychotics for 5 years. Symptoms are completely gone. Should I try to get off of at least one of the meds? I have significant weight gain and need high caffeine levels to combat drowsiness. Zyprexa 5mg and risperdal 5mg.

Hi there. I would suggest going to your doctor who will adjust your medications for you. You also have to understand that maybe it's a combination of the two in this ratio that is keeping you stable. With regards to weight gain you can ask your doctor to use another antipsychotic which won't lead to significant weight gain.
Next Steps
Please see your psychiatrist.
Health Tips
For the diagnosis you have been given, be regularly in touch with your psychiatrist, and go for therapy to a psychotherapist.
