OCD -obsessed of cleaning and washing
My mother is in compulsion of washing/cleaning floors, clothes, hands etc. She is having this problem for about 15 years. We are not able to change this habit of her. It becomes a daily routine for her, she has to do this, otherwise she does not feel good as she said. She is now in her 50s. Can she overcome this problem now? If yes, please suggest any doctor/ Psychotherapist in Odisha.

OCD management depends a lot on insight. It is never late to start treatment. However both medicinal and therapeutic intervention should be taken simultaneously.  You can go to dept. Of clinical psychology at SCB Medical College, CTc..they have fully functional dept. Of psychiatry and psychology and they have trained  psychotherapist.  Orissa.
