OCD lesion
Can supplements like eraflex containing glucosamine and chondroitin be taken for 6 months ? Have an ocd lesion on left knee measuring 0.8 cms .

Yes of course you can..
Better is to watch your symptoms..
If you have pain, swelling and difficulty in walking you should get a repeat scan after seeing your doctor..
That way you will know if the size and stage of the lesion is getting better/worse..
Usually the supplements won't help you reduce the size if you continue doing physical activity..

It depends on where is ocd lesion ?
If it is in weight bearing area of bone then it may give trouble in daily activities .
Consult with xray or MRI if u have done .

Avoid taking any medicine for long time particularly if pain is of OCD origin.
This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However I would like to examine & investigate you in detail.
-Control Hypertension, Diabetes or metabolic disorder, if there is any.
--. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding.
--. Keep a pillow under the knee.
--. Avoid painful acts & activities.
--. Fomentation with warm water .
Let the part not be exposed to cold.
