I understand your worry. These medicines can sometimes affect the liver, but serious issues are rare. Since you’ve been on them for 2 months, the safest step is to ask your doctor for a simple liver function test quick, clear, and it will ease your mind. Don’t stop medicines suddenly without guidance.
Next Steps
keep taking your meds as prescribed, book a review with your psychiatrist, and request routine liver function tests for reassurance. Alongside, start therapy for OCD
Health Tips
Name the OCD voice – when intrusive thoughts come, remind yourself “this is OCD, not me.” It creates distance.
Small wins – celebrate even tiny progress, like delaying a compulsion for 1 minute. These moments add up.
Safe space – keep one corner of your room as your “calm spot” where you breathe, journal, or pray whenever thoughts overwhelm.
The medicines you mentioned (Voxee, Clonotril, Rismo-LS) are commonly prescribed for OCD and related symptoms. All psychiatric medicines can have potential side effects, but not everyone experiences them in the same way.
Next Steps
These medicines are usually safe when taken under a doctor's supervision. Routine monitoring, such as liver function tests, may be advised during long-term use to ensure safety. If you notice unusual symptoms like persistent fatigue, yellowing of eyes/skin, or abdominal discomfort, inform your doctor immediately.
Health Tips
Do not stop or adjust the medication dose on your own. Always continue follow-up with your prescribing psychiatrist, as they can decide if any additional tests or dosage adjustments are needed.
Hi
Doctors often advise liver function tests (LFTs) if you’re on these medicines for long periods, just to be safe. If you already have a history of liver disease, you should inform your doctor.
In most cases, when taken under medical supervision and with periodic checkups, these medicines do not cause lasting liver damage.
Alongside Take therapy. It will be beneficial while on medicine. You can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five.
