Mental illnesses can be a result of multiple factors including biological, emotional, social and personal. In order to treat these illnesses, its important to identify the underlying cause and then treat accordingly using medicine and Psychotherapy. Usually it takes a week or two before the treatment results in improvement.
OCD comes under anxiety disorders and it can be easily cured through therapy and medication. Both should go hand-in-hand. Medicine is given by Psychiatrist and The is done by Psychologist.
