Constantly thinking about the past or future creates worry, which can interfere with your sleep. As sleep requires a relaxed mind & body state. Just worrying about past & future is not going to change anything but will give you a disturbed sleep. Instead efforts in the present are required to change the future. If you are not able to shrug off your thoughts then write down your thoughts on a piece of paper & allocate any quiet time during the day to think about them. Try to relax yourself at night by deep & slow breathing with focus on breaths, positive imagery & muscle relaxation techniques.
