I have non toxic goiter since 4 years. The size has been the same. My thyroid profile is normal & there's no issue except the swelling. I don't want to undergo surgery. Is there any other effective treatment? Non surgical.? Any Ayurvedic procedures or medicine? Please suggest any allopathic or Ayurvedic doctors who cure non surgically

### Allopathic (Modern) Non-Surgical Options 1. **Observation (Watchful waiting)** – If swelling is stable & no symptoms → just regular follow-up with USG + thyroid profile. 2. **Thyroxine suppressive therapy (LT4)** – In some cases, small goiter may shrink. Needs monitoring (bone/heart effects). 3. **Radioactive iodine (RAI) therapy** – Can reduce goiter size by 50–60% in 1 year. Risk: \~20% may become hypothyroid. 4. **Minimally invasive procedures** – * Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) * Microwave ablation (MWA) * Ethanol injection for nodules → Done under USG guidance, no scar, effective for size reduction. 5. **Thyroid artery embolization** – Blocks blood supply, shrinkage up to 70–90%. Done in specialized centers. --- ### ✅ Ayurvedic Options * **Herbs commonly used** – **guggulu, **vati, **vati, **, **, **, **. * **Panchakarma** – Virechana, Nasya, Abhyanga with medicated oils. * **Lifestyle** – Yoga (Sarvangasana, Matsyasana), Pranayama, avoiding excess salt/fermented foods. * A case study shows colloid goiter managed successfully with long-term Ayurvedic medicines + diet plan. --- ### ⭐ Suggestion for You * Since goiter is stable & thyroid function normal → **no urgent surgery needed**. * Best plan: 1. Regular **USG + TFT monitoring**. 2. Consult me** for non-surgical option 3. Add **Ayurvedic support under supervision. 4. Combine with diet + yoga for long-term balance. --- 👉 Do you want me to make a **sample Ayurvedic + diet lifestyle chart** (what to eat, what to avoid, daily routine) specially for non-toxic goiter? Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine. Consult me personally for details.

Yes, non-toxic goiter with normal thyroid function can often be managed without surgery, especially if the size is stable and there are no pressure symptoms. Ayurveda offers internal medicines and external therapies to help reduce swelling and balance doshas. Common formulations include Kanchanara Guggulu, Varunadi Kashayam, and external application of medicated oils like Dhanwantaram Taila with gentle massage. Panchakarma like Lepa (herbal paste) and Nasya may also be advised. Diet and lifestyle modifications, iodine balance, and stress management are equally important. Please consult an Ayurvedic physician for a customized plan. I can guide you with a detailed regimen if you wish.

Since your thyroid profile is normal and the goiter has been stable for years, it is considered a non-toxic simple goiter. Surgery is usually not needed unless it grows or causes difficulty in breathing/swallowing. In Ayurveda, medicines like Kanchanar guggulu, Varunadi kwath, Trikatu, and Punarnava are used to reduce gland swelling and balance doshas. Local application of Kanchanar paste or medicated oils may also help. But treatment should always be customized after proper consultation
Next Steps
Consult for prescription and futher management
Health Tips
Avoid cabbage, cauliflower, soya, broccoli, and very cold foods (they may worsen swelling). • Take warm water with a pinch of turmeric daily. • Include iodine-rich natural foods (rock salt, spinach, banana, walnuts, dairy). • Practice gentle neck exercises and pranayama for circulation. • Regular follow-up with thyroid tests is important.

Hi, Non-toxic goiter with normal thyroid profile means the gland is enlarged but still functioning normally. Since your size has been stable for years and there are no major symptoms, non-surgical management is possible. Classical formulations like Kanchanar Guggulu, Varunadi Kashaya, Punarnava, Ashwagandha help reduce swelling and balance thyroid function. *To be taken under professional supervision only.* Local therapies like gentle massage with Kachnar oil or medicated lepa (herbal paste) are sometimes advised. Diet: Avoid excess cabbage, cauliflower, soya, and preserved/junk foods; include iodine-rich natural foods (sea vegetables, rock salt). Stress reduction with yoga and pranayama is important.
Next Steps
Please consult an Ayurvedic physician directly for customized medicines and monitoring. All the best 🙂 👍.
Health Tips
Surgery is usually reserved for large or symptomatic goiters. In your case, Ayurveda offers good scope to manage and control swelling naturally.
