Hi, 10% loss on birth weight is absolutely normal, you can add HMF (Human milk fortifiers) to Breast milk for weight gain , oil (olive or almond ) massages will help
Ur concern is very genuine, make sure attachment of the baby to the breast while feeding is proper ( can watch video in YouTube about this )
2. Make sure ur child is getting fore milk ( initial watery part of breast milk) and hind milk ( thik part contain more protein and fat ) too.
3. Empty each breast while feeding before offering other breast for feeding
4. ***Make sure ur baby is feed at night time also - most important
5. Many time small baby fall asleep while feeding, simple tickle in the sole wake them up , and complete feeding
Next Steps
Watch activity urine and stool . Wt monitoring daily once
Health Tips
Any fever abdominal distension vomitin and refusal for feed should be taken seriously
Hi.
Check if your milk production is good and if the baby is latching properly.
All babies lose weight in first 10 days Abd then put weight. Wait for a week, if still not putting weight consult nearby paediatrician and lactation consultant
What's her current weight ?? Initial 10 days of life there's usually weight loss , but after that she should gain
She is supposed to gain weight if feeding is good on demand
Next Steps
ensure adequate urine output > 6-8 times/day
check the weight again from a nearby doctor
